Galle
Easy to Fly In, Even Easier to Get Around

Galle is in the South Coast of Sri Lanka and the coastal town hosts The Plantation in the quiet Ahangama Village. Galle may sound remote but driving down from the capital Colombo will only take two hours or even less, the travel time significantly made faster and more comfortable by the newly-opened and 126-km stretch Southern Expressway.
And flying in to Sri Lanka is easy as the government is working to expand and enhance the existing facilities of the country’s Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. The project includes the expansion of the transit area, construction of new baggage-reclaim area, multi-storied car park and widening of the existing runway.

Soon to rise is the second international airport (the first phase already in place) in Mattala, and the infrastructure is seen to further open up the vast southern and eastern areas of Sri Lanka for development including tourism projects.
Premium Tourism Destinations and Activities
From The Plantation, visitors are presented with a host of recreational activities as the site itself is just minutes or a few hours away from other popular tourist spots in Sri Lanka, some with world heritage status such as the Galle Fort and Sinharaja Forest.

If one is tempted to try surfing then the right place to take the plunge is Sri Lanka. Surfers attest to the fact that the country is one of the best surfing spots in the world, which is especially true for the Arugam Bay in the East Coast, and comparable in many levels to Hawaii and Western Australia.
