The Plantation Luxury Villas Wins Investors’ Nod At Official Launch In Sri Lanka

The vote of confidence given was loud and clear. The Plantation Luxury Villas, a high-end property development that will soon rise in Galle, Sri Lanka, proved a natural magnet for buyers and investors alike. At its official unveiling at The Heritage Café last December 13, more than half of The Plantation units have been marked as sold.

“Sri Lanka … is still appealing to investors looking for that ideal island get away,” project developer Dale Rennie declared at the launch event.

It’s worth noting that Rennie also owns The Heritage Café, which sits right inside the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort. Rennie and wife Sabrina Van Cleef Ault, the creative mind that brought the gorgeous concept of The Plantation into life, consider Sri Lanka home, and thus a fitting place to host a luxury development that is perceived to be a league of its own.

“We are excited to be bringing our signature brand of luxury living and hospitality to a place we have now chosen to call home,” Rennie said.

The power couple boast a portfolio of opulent developments around the world that their peers see as successful endeavours.

Brains Behind The Plantation

As a boutique resort developer, Rennie takes pride on his previous creations and among them is the Villa Anugrah, an award-winning ultra-luxury cliff-front property in Bali, Indonesia. In addition to The Plantation Luxury Villas, Rennie has another boutique hotel that will open its doors at the Galle Fort by the end of 2019.

And like in all his luxury development undertakings, Rennie, who made an indelible mark in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry prior to his entry to the property market, counted on the help provided by wife and business partner Sabrina.

Van Cleef Ault herself is a force to reckon with in the entertainment sector, having served as Creative Director for Pangaea that in the premium clubbing scene was considered as among the most profitable and easily recognisable brand. Sabrina’s work in the industry spanned more than 15 years and she made her presence felt in key locations around the world.

For The Plantation’s design, the Rennies found a very capable help in the person of Sri Lankan architect Manjula Kalhara. Known for his strong environmental ethos and extensive experience, Manjula is the perfect fit for the vision behind The Plantation Luxury Villas.

Strictly, The Plantation offers a contemporary modern living in Sri Lanka that will be unmatched in the region. The development will consist of 14 exclusive one- and two-bedroom pool residences, sized from 1204sqm – 2650sqm.
